In collaboration with Berlin-based fashion photographer Yves Borgwardt, Julia Freitag tells the story of modern gothic romance.
Channelling a rebellious yet elegant spirit, the two models Pia and Martha wear dresses from Valentino, Giambattista Valli, Celine and black flowing lace from Blumarine versus structural Bottega Veneta two-piece suits, edgy lace and patterns from Longchamp and Woollen Alexander McQueen Suits. Julia combined these looks with ritualistic jewels from Dior’s Resort collection, Nina Kastens and Sabrina Dehoff along with chunky lace-up boots, knee highs and septum piercings for a contemporary gothic edge.
The shoot location at Potsdam’s‘ Barberini Museum set amongst stunning Palladian architecture, a current exhibition of abstract paintings at the GDR as well as the Barberini’s studio art studio.
